Yes! We operate modern, narrow-access stump grinding machinery.

Our equipment is specifically designed to fit through standard residential garden gates and narrow alleyways, allowing us to safely access and remove stumps in tight, enclosed back gardens.

We typically grind the stump and main root plate to a depth of 150mm to 300mm below the surrounding ground level.

This is more than deep enough to allow you to lay new topsoil, fresh turf, or plant shallow-rooted shrubs directly over the area.

The grinding process creates a mixture of soil and woodchips. By default, we use this mixture to neatly backfill the hole, as it provides excellent, nutrient-rich mulch for your garden.

However, if you prefer, we can remove the excess waste entirely as part of our zero-to-landfill policy.

No. By mechanically grinding out the main stump and the primary root plate, we permanently destroy the tree’s ability to regenerate or send up new shoots, completely killing the stump.
